Sleaford stars in British Open

Tae Kwon-do
COMPETITORS from Sleaford Tae Kwon-Do Club will be heading for the Nottingham Trent FM Arena this weekend for the British Open Tae Kwon-Do championships.

Sleaford club instructors, fifth degree black-belt Jill Pearce and fourth degree black-belt Daniel Pearce, will be joined by selected members of the club, which is based at Carre's Grammar School.

The championships are organised by the Tae Kwon-Do Association of Great Britain and over 2,000 competitors are expected to take part.

Guest of honour will be Grand Master C K Choi, a ninth degree black-belt from Vancouver, Canada, considered to be the foremost exponent of Tae Kwon-do in the world today.

l For anyone who would like to go to the championships to support the Sleaford club, spectator tickets are £7.00 and available from the Trent FM Arena box office. Further information is available from the club on 01476 570616.
