Town's James does England team proud

SLEAFORD golfing sensation James Burnett has added another triumph to his many successes so far in 2008 at international level.
Playing for an England under-16 side, the Sleaford Golf Club 16-year-old shot a fine second round 69 that helped ensure his team secured the Nations Cup at High Post Golf Club in Wiltshire.
James was teamed with Matthew Chapman from Wentworth and Jack Heasman from West Sussex and the side finished the event with a total of 280 and tied with the other England entry, with Scotland a shot behind in third place.
The McGregor Trophy and Nations Cup are open to boy amateur golfers of all nationalities, with the McGregor Trophy being played over 72 holes and the Nations Cup determined by the best scores for the first and second rounds.
Each country is allowed to enter up to two teams of three players, with two aggregate scores to count in each team.
Although James did not have the best of opening rounds, which left him too far behind to challenge for the McGregor Trophy, he more than made up for it with an excellent second round 69, that made sure of an England win.
