Great results for town running club members

It has been a great few weeks for members of Sleaford Town Running Club, with good representation at
local races and some great results.

Members took on the challenging Valentine’s 30k course in Stamford, running a lovely but hilly rural
course.

Iain Bailey came in first for the club in 1hr 47 followed by Greg Southern (1hr 50), Bethan Fray (3hr 3) and Jayne Macarthur.

Belvoir hosted another great challenge on a 15 mile and 26 mile undulating off-road course.

Iain Bailey won the 15 mile race in a time of 1hr 43 despite becoming topographically misplaced on two separate occasions, competing in the 26 mile race were Dave Taylor who completed in 4hr 12 and Gary Britnell in 4hr 36.

l There was a great turn out to support the Sleaford Half Marathon with 10 members running the event and many others supporting them along the predominantly flat road course.

John Lawlor was the first member to cross the finish line in 1hr 30 followed by Chris Balfe (1hr 37), Paul Green (1hr 42), Simon Lunn (1hr 44), Jayne Macarthur (2hr 04), Louise McCauley (2hr 14), Stanley Thornton (2hr 19), Joanne Calver (2hr 26), Shaun Louth (2hr 33) and Helen Barker (2hr 53).

l Sleaford Town Runners meet on Thursday evenings, 7pm, at the Sleaford Rugby Club.

The club runs a variety of multi-length routes around the local area and can support your training needs no matter how big or small.
