Striders complete the Rauceby Ripper on multi-terrain

The Rauceby Ripper was the opening event in Sleaford Striders race series, seeing 25 Striders taking to the course which was ran on private
and open land in South Rauceby.

The recent changing weather conditions added to the multi-terrain course, leaving some tracks to be dry and solid ground, and other parts of the course, and through the woods, was left like mud pools and boggy grass, and also freshly ploughed fields added their twist to the surfaces.

The race had 170 runners and over 20 walkers taking part in the event.

The race was won by Striders elite Alan Oliver in a brilliant time of 54:35, and the elite female athlete Emily Foran bringing home the prize for the 1st lady in a great time of 1:02:21 in 9th position.
The striders team was then starting to show with their next runner Andy Preston in 21st place with 1:07:36, Andy Dickinson 36th in 1:09:30, 2nd lady home for Striders in an impressive season was Sasha Oliver in 41st place in 1:11:02, Kate Cook 1:14:02, Adrian Twelvetrees 1:14:43, Vince McNiffe 1:15:20, Garry Wilson1:15:27, Alan Buckberry 1:16:24, Emma Marshall Telfer 1:18:05, Jim Millar 1:20:53, Eleanor Oxby1:22:06, June Jackson 1:22:15, Zoe Hannan 1:22:48, Anna Thompson 1:23:50, Maureen Runacres 1:23:51, Tracey Dickinson 1:27:38, Julie Green1:27:38, Ted Preston 1:28:20, Jim Parker 1:34:25, Dawn Webb 1:42:06, Linda Melloy 1:57:57, Mellani Jackson 1:57:57 andMichelle Hird 1:57:58.
