At the start of August, three club members – June Jackson, Simon Jackson and Mark Davies – competed in the London Triathlon, with Mark slashing an amazing 28 minutes off his last year’s time.

Club members have competed in a number of local swimming, running and cycling events, including Swim Rutland, The Big Nottingham Swim, Striders’ Summer 10K, Bassingham Bash and The Great Doddington Bike Ride.

The club was represented at the Triathlon Relay Championships over the Bank Holiday weekend, competing at several sprint and super-sprint distances. Another team from the club (Gav Meadows, Nick Milward and George Hackney, pictured) took part in the team relay event at the Outlaw Triathlon (ironman distance) and finished 10th out of 88 teams.

Rounding off an amazing season, Johannian Jordaan Patrick (pictured) and Sandy Telfer competed at the European Middle Distance Triathlon Championship in Walchsee Kaiserwinkl, Austria.

They represented Great Britain in their respective age categories – they were required to qualify by achieving 120 per cent of the winner’s time at a middle distance triathlon in the previous 12 months.

The club is incredibly proud of both of them and their continued success.
