SLEAFORD Cricket Club’s work in bringing on young cricketers is to receive continued support from a town business.

Local building and plumbing suppliers Turnbull’s have announced they are to continue their association with the club as sponsors of the club’s academy.

Turnbull’s have a long-standing relationship with the cricket club and have been a staunch supporter for a number of years.

Director with the firm Chris Hopkins said: “Supporting the local community is important to Turnbull’s.

“As a local company, this is our way of putting something back into the local community as well as saying thank you for the support that local businesses and residents have shown towards our company.”

Cricket club president Colin White said: “We are very proud to be supported by such an outstanding organisation.

“We hope that this partnership continues for many years to come.”

James Sewell, representing the club’s first eleven sponsors Wright Vigar, was presented with a framed replica first eleven shirt by skipper Oliver Burford at a recent first team game.

n Sleaford first eleven are coming to the end of their 2012 Lincolnshire ECB Premier League campaign and are hoping for a top four finish.
