Frustratingly for Sleaford First XI, rain abandoned play at London Road on Saturday when they had defending league champions Bourne struggling.

Batting first in this Lincolnshire ECB Premier League fixture, Sleaford had set a useful total of 292 for eight in their allotted overs, with Louis Kember, 85, and Jonny Cheer, 88, in particularly fine form with the bat.

They had then reduced Bourne to 44 for three before the weather cruelly intervened.
