Social media has been the vehicle for good wishes for Sleaford Sports Amateurs player Adam Smith following an injury he suffered in their cup defeat at home to Immingham Town.

Smith suffered a suspected broken leg during the tie at Eslaforde Park.

Opponents Immingham were among those wishing him a speedy recovery on Twitter.

Town’s 4-1 victory earned them a quarter-final place at Skegness Town’s Vertigo Stadium next month.

Also through to the last eight are Nettleham, Hykeham Town and Grimsby Borough Reserves following Saturday’s games.

In the league, there was a win for Market Rasen Town at home to Harrowby United Reserves, while Louth Town and Brigg Town Reserves drew a blank at Marshlands.
