Sleaford Town Reserves earned themselves a place in the Balcan Lighting Supplies Lincolnshire League Challenge Cup Final with a 3-0 win over Cleethorpes Town Development Squad

Meanwhile, Sleaford’s lead at the top of the league was reduced when Wyberton closed the gap by winning their game in hand.

The villagers beat Market Rasen Town by the odd goal in three to reduce Sleaford’s advantage at the summit to just four points.

Horncastle Town are still waiting for their 10th league goal of the season 14 games in, after drawing a blank at CGB Humbertherm.

Skegness United ended a run of four consecutive defeats by sharing the spoils with Lincoln Railway AFC.

Skegness Town’s match at Lincoln-based Ruston Sports was postponed when the home side failed to raise a team.

In the Lincolnshire FA Junior Cup, a Chris Funnell penalty helped holders Hykeham Town to reach the final for the second year on the bounce.
