English footballers came a cropper against Germany again recently.

An Under 12’s football side from Sleaford’s German twinned town of Fredersdorf-Vogelsdorf came for a weekend visit and Sleaford Town FC entertained the guests on the Saturday.

The German team first had a kick about at Carre’s Grammar School, then played against Sleaford Town’s U12 footballers, beating them 3-2, but the game was played in good spirits.

Afterwards the German football team acted as mascots for the Town first team’s match in the afternoon. Pictured are the Sleaford and German football teams.
