Heckington lose by five

After good performances Heckington had one of those days when nothing went their way.

The first 20 minutes was evenly balanced but Skegness took the lead when a cross was not cleared.

On 29 minutes Heckington were forced to re-organise when Ollie Sydney had to leave the pitch and Carl Sedlan took his place. However, before the home defence adjusted to this change, a corner was not cleared and a weak shot was deflected past Ben Jackson in the home goal.

Skegness went into half time with a three-goal lead after a long ball eluded the home defence and was lofted home despite Harry Kirwan’s determined efforts.

Heckington improved after the break but were unable to reduce the deficit despite a couple of good chances and further goals in the 58th and 90th minutes gave the visitors a 5-0 win.
