BOSTON SATURDAY LEAGUE
Old Leake eventually won comfortably against Ruskington Rovers in blustery conditions.
Leake punished their opponents by taking a 2-0 half-time lead when Adam Tempest scored after 15 minutes and then Kieran Stocks put his side firmly in control with the second just before the break. Ruskington played better in the second half but the game was settled early after the restart when Scott MacKay burst through and snapped up his rebounded shot to make the final score 3-0. Ruskington’s misery was complete when they had a player dismissed.
Jac Wright, struck a hat-trick for Billinghay Athletic in their 5-1 home win against Skegness Town Reserves. Tom Moor also got on the scoresheet for the home side when Wright provided the opening while the other came courtesy of an own goal.
Pointon had a 2-1 home win against Fishtoft Reserves.
A Chris Hilton hat-trick helped Freiston to a 6-1 away win at Pointon Reserves. Rippingale & Folkingham entertained title-chasing Heckington Millers. It was The Millers who adapted the better to the wind as they dominated to finish winning 8-0. Friskney’s home game against Sleaford Colts was postponed due to waterlogged pitch.
A Tomas Ragelis goal was enough to give Eastern European FC a 1-0 home win against Rippingale & Folkingham Reserves.
