Skegness Utd 0
Sleaford Town Reserves 3
Sleaford Town Reserves picked up another three points away from home at Skegness United.
From the first whistle, Sleaford dominated the game. On a terrible pitch they still tried to play in the right manner and a good delivery from captain Kemp was met by Ollie Sidney who swept the ball home with his left foot to make it 1-0 after 18 minutes. Sleaford continued to impress, Popple, McNamara and Cook controlled the game with no real pressure from the home side.
Skegness were awarded a corner and their number four forced Doran to make an excellent save from point blank range. Just before half time, a cross from the impressive Ginniff was headed into the air, falling to McNamara who prodded the ball home from one yard with his knee.
The second half got under way and the visitors started where they left off. On 60 minutes, Sleaford were down to 10 men. Sidney getting his marching orders for being a little late and high. This seemed to give the home side renewed confidence, but not for long. Two minutes later, Ginniff went on a run and a great cross was finished by Sleaford’s Twentyman, on the volley to make it 3-0.
Manager Stephen Garfoot was extremely happy with the win and overall performance. Next week Sleaford entertain Wyberton at Eslaforde Park (KO 2pm).
