Top of the league for Rangers, while Rovers bag 12 goals

FC Osbournby Rangers sit at the top of the table in the Arion Sunday League Premier Division following victory at the weekend.

The 3-1 at home to Nobody Inn Athletic on Sunday leaves them equal with Witham Wanderers FC on eight points, but a superior goal difference nudges them into first place.

The team have, however, played an extra game to the three below them, who are all within striking distance of at least levelling the points tally.

Bottom-placed Helpringham Rovers FC put 12 past Lions FC, their nearest rivals, at home on Sunday, while conceding only once.

They remain on the foot of the table, but now only trail Lions FC by one point.

Elsewhere, Ropsley FC drew with Long Bennington FC at home 3-3.

On Sunday, FC Osbournby Rangers travel to West Marsh Old Boys FC (Grimsby) in the Lincolnshire Sunday Cup second Round, while AFR Harrowby United welcome Holdingham AFC.

Other cup clashes see Witham Wanderers FC at home to Thurlby United FC, County Hotel Grimsby FC at home to Nobody Inn Athletic FC and Red Star FC (Grimsby) welcoming Ropsley FC.

The only league clash on the day sees Lions FC welcome Long Bennington.

In the Arion Sunday League Divions One, table-leader Caythorpe Sports and Social FC extended their 100 per cent record to six games with victory away at Totemic FC.

The 2-1 gives leaves them two points above their nearest rivals, Nobody Inn Athletic Reserves FC, who beat Digby Lions FC 8-1 at home.

Digby sit fourth in the table behind Ruskington FC who won 4-0 at Ancaster Athletic FC.

Holdingham AFC beat Colsterworth United FC 5-3 at home, putting them three points behind Digby in fifth.

On Sunday, Ancaster Athletic FC play host to Digby Lions FC, while Ruskington FC travel to Totemeic FC and Colsterworth United FC welcome Nobody Inn Athletic 
Reserves.
