Sleaford Town travel to face Yaxley this evening.

Paul Ward’s side will be keen to claim another three UCL Premier points (KO 7.45pm) following the weekend’s victory at home to Kirby Muxloe.

Ryan Oliver netted twice as Sleaford Town earned a 4-1 success while Bradley Hockin and Charlie Ward also found their names on the scoresheet.

The away side could have gone second had they claimed victory, but Town were in a defiant mood, ending the day in seventh in the UCL Premier Division.

Ward headed the hosts in front as he met a Luke Hollingworth free kick, with Oliver converting George Asplin’s ball to double the advantage.

Dan Sheahan reduced the arrears, but Sleaford scored two further goals to wrap up the win.

Hockin headed home another Asplin delivery to make it 3-1 at the break and Oliver bagged his 15th of the campaign just before the hour mark.

On Saturday, Paul Ward’s side travel to Harborough Town for another league contest (KO 3pm).

Sleaford Town Reserves remain on top of the Lincolnshire League.

However, on Saturday they were beaten 6-5 at Lincoln Railway in the Supplementary Cup.

Jac Wright and Nathan Thompson bagged braces for Town’s second string.

Shaun Popple also got his name on the scoresheet, but Sleaford still missed out in an 11-goal contest.

They return to action on Saturday when they host Market Rasen Town (KO 2pm).
