Helpringham School enjoys unrivalled sporting success
THE pupils at Helpringham Primary School have enjoyed a fantastic year of sporting success.
As they come to the end of the school year it is a time to reflect on the school's achievements.
They are county champions in indoor sports hall athletics, tag rugby and girls' kwik cricket. The school's tag rugby team went on to be runners-up in the shield competition in the regional finals.
Helpringham School also reached the county finals in High 5 netball, rounders and mini tennis.
In competitions run by the Sleaford area Sports Partnership they reached the semi-finals at volleyball, were runners up in boys' kwik cricket and winners of the netball, badminton, rounders and mini tennis events.
Helpringham School completed a league and tournament double in the Sleaford and District Sports Association netball league.
Headteacher Penny Wetton said: "Under the guidance of Jackie Midwinter, our sports co-ordinator, the children have had an exceptional year."
