New overseas signing Robert Nicol made a fine debut as the South African top scored with 87, while Jack Wilson chipped in with 52, but the home bowlers restricted Sleaford to 196-7.

A captain’s innings of 56 from Tom Baxter helped Boston recover after losing two wickets for only one run and the third on 18 in reply.

But despite good support from the lower order, the hosts were bowled out for 155 as Sleaford completed a 41-run win.

Cameron Hall (3 for 12) and Shaun Morris (3 for 18) were the pick of the Sleaford attack.
