Sleaford Town Bowls Club played six matches with mixed results last week.

Away at Metheringham in the ASC Metals League, only one rink was won, losing by three shots 53-56 and two points,.

Results: Steve Morris, Julie Cope and Trevor Cope won 22-14; Peter Annison, Gill Annison and Neil Mapletoft lost 19-20; Linda Morris, Gwen Campbell and Larry Davies lost 12-22.

Away at Branston in the City League, three rink wins gave the aggregate score 97-86 and 12 points.

Results: John Parker, Roger Neaverson and Derek Smith won 28-21; Peter Annison, Neil Mapletoft and Trevor Cope won 24-19; Kris Moore, Phil Musson and Paul Jobson won 25-24; Martin Titley, Peter Stokes and Richard Barnes lost 20-22.

Away at Washingborough in the District League, rink wins were shared two each but Sleaford lost the aggregate score 85-98 for four points.

Results: Colin Grosse, Peter Annison and Mick Wareham won 37-15; Jackie Wareham, Gill Annison and Bas Gilbert won 20-18; Joan Gilbert, Brian Srawley and Larry Davies lost 13-28; Gerald Woodhead, Kris Moore and Roy Markham lost 15-34.

Two matches in the Woodhall League gained four points in each with two winning rinks.

Results (at Ruskington): Gerald Woodhead, David Curt and Colin Grosse won 19-16; Peter Annison, Mick Wareham and Brian Srawley won 25-14; Jackie Wareham, Bas Gilbert and Tom Bell lost 21-22.

Results (Cranwell at home): Robin Wilson, David Curt and Ken Dye won 24-12; Linda Morris, Joan Gilbert and Brian Srawley won 28-12; Arthur Norris, Mick Jarrald and Colin Grosse lost 13-20.

At home against Helpringham in the Sleaford League, in a close game three rink wins gave the aggregate score 76-70 and 10 points to the Town.

Results: Robin Wilson, Calum Campbell and Gwen Campbell won 22-15; Linda Morris, Steve Morris and Mick Wareham won 19-17; Jackie Wareham, David Curt and Bas Gilbert won 19-15; Gerald Woodhead, Lewis Jobson and Gill Annison lost 16-23.
