Sleaford Rugby Club welcomed a representative from builder’s merchant Travis Perkins to present the new shirts the company has sponsored for the junior section.

Nigel Oldham, branch manager of Sleaford’s Travis Perkins went along to the Ruskington Road ground last month to present the newly-sponsored shirts to teams - aged from under 13 to under 19.

All age groups attended the pre-match meal with Mr Oldham before the First XV took to the pitch in their unsuccessful cup semi-final versus West Bridgford.

Eamonn McLarnon, chairman of the mini and juniors section at Sleaford Rugby Club, said: “It was a fantastic turnout to welcome our new sponsor, with 80 players and coaches attending.

“It is great to see a local company with national reach invest in the players of tomorrow here at Sleaford Rugby Club.

“The lads wearing the new shirts will have that extra spark on the pitch as they now look a well polished team before a ball has been kicked, which would not have been possible without the sponsorship Travis Perkins has made.”

He thanked all at Travis Perkins who have made this happen, on behalf of everyone at Sleaford Rugby Club.
