Sleaford Tae Kwon-Do club have made a number of promotions following a recent grading at Carres Grammar School, under the guidance of grand master David Oliver, ninth degree black-belt.

Taking pride of place for the club were the newly formed Tigers group. This separate children’s class only opened at the beginning of the year and the members, some as young as four years of age, worked hard to achieve the standard required for the promotion.

Club instructor, Jill Pearce, sixth degree black-belt was proud that the club achieved a 100 per cent pass rate and was commended by the examiner during the day on the high standard throughout.

Following on from this success the club is inviting new students to join them for a free taster session at the grand opening of their new Thursday Tigers Class, starting on October 9 at 5.30pm in the Northgate Sports Hall, Millfield Terrace. This class is suitable for boys and girls from four years and will teach the children exercises, balance, co-ordination, building confidence and self-esteem with a martial arts-themed syllabus.
