Sleaford Wheelers have again attracted a bumper entry for their annual Nev Crane Memorial 25-mile Time Trial on Sunday,

The ninth edition of Lincolnshire’s premier open time trial has 107 riders representing 37 clubs from as far afield as Norwich, Leeds, Leicester and Hounslow.

Matt Bottrill the national champion at 10, 25 and 50 miles visits the event for the fourth time. On his three previous visits, he has established a new course record for the Donington-Quarrington-Donington course.

Doubtless he will be out to beat the quickest time ever seen in a Lincolnshire Open TT – 49min 53sec – set by himself last year.

First rider starts just after 8am, with last man Bottrill leaving the timekeeper at 9.50am.
