Members of Velo-One Cycling Team were in action again at the weekend.

On Saturday, Madeline Verdegaal, Adam Ellis and Justin Parr travelled to the Milton Keynes Bowl for the second round of the Spring Circuit Series.

Despite strong racing, all three riders were unfortunately involved in racing incidents in the latter stages of their races, pushing them just outside the top 10. They will be hoping for better fortunes at future rounds.

On a positive note, it was Justin’s first ever road race and against a field of more than 70 riders, finishing just outside the top 10 was a great achievement.

Sunday saw time trial riders Nick Millward and Neil Palmer in action. Nick took part at the Sleaford Wheelers Early 10 Mile TT, finishing 10th with a time of 27m 23sec.

In his first race of the year, Neil took part in the Retford and District 10 Mile TT and the hard training over the winter paid off, with him finishing second with a time of 21.03, at an average speed of more than 28mph.
