Sleaford Town Bowls Club

Sleaford Town Bowls Club were involved in six matches this week, with the club winning four and losing two.

At home to Bassingham in the ASC Metals League, Sleaford won 64-44 for eight points.

Lewis Jobson, Roger Neaverson and Trevor Cope won 30-19, Kriss Moore, Julie Cope and Roy Markham won 19-17, Steve Morris, Neil Mapletoft and Colin Grosse lost 15-18.

Away at Eagle in the City League, Town won 14 points with a score of 129-58.

John Parker, Roger Neaverson and Derek Smith won 41-13, Martin Titley, Phil Musson and Richard Barnes won 32-14, Kris Moore, Paul Jobson and Trevor Cope won 32-16 and Neil Mapletoft, Larry Davies and Andrew Bird won 24-15.

In a re-arranged Woodhall Spa League match against Sleaford Bristol, a score of 72-33 claimed six points.

Pete Annison, Ken Dye and Roy Markham won 28-9, G. Woodhead, Joan Gilbert and Larry Davies won 28-12, Jackie Wareham, Colin Grosse and Bas Gilbert won 16-12.

Away at Digby in a Sleaford League match, Town went down 72-78 (4-8).

Jackie Wareham, Catherine Frain and Bas Gilbert won 25-15, Robin Wilson, Brian Srawley and Larry Davies won 20-18,Gerald Woodhead, Colin Grosse and Roy Markhan lost 16-20 and Joan Gilbert, Ken Dye and Roy Markham lost 11-25.

At home to the Legionnaires, Town took the aggregate 75-59 (8-4).

Lewis Jobson, M. Jarrald and Bas Gilbert won 36-12, Peter Annison, Steve Morris and Colin Grosse won 18-11, Jackie Wareham Julie Cope, and Joan Gilbert lost 16-17, Gerald Woodhead, Peter Stokes and Mick Wareham lost 15-19.

At home in the EBA league against Moorlands Railway, Town lost by eight shots (3-7).

Martin Titley, Colin Grosse, Roger Neaverson and Paul Jobson won 19-16, John Parker, Pete Annison, Mick Wareham and Phil Musson drew 14-14 and Ken Dye, Kris Moore, Larry Davies and Richard Barnes were beaten.
