Sleaford golfers have shown their genrous side this Christmas time by donating towards a local children’s charity.
On Tuesday last week the women of Sleaford Golf Club held their annual ‘Christmas Jolly’.
This comprised of 10 holes of golf played in what felt like arctic conditions followed by lunch, mince pies and coffee.
As usual, the ladies brought a toy for the Home Start charity, which helps struggling local families and as ever produced a wonderful table full of toys.
Sheila Wheeldon from the club said: “It showed the true meaning of Christmas.”
Jane Smith, one of the trustees of the charity, agreed to come for lunch and receive the toys on behalf of the charity.
