Sleaford Gymnastics Club has acquired some world class equipment as it continues to expand and improve its facilities.

The club last week purchased the asymmetric bars that were used at the World Gymnastics Championships in Glasgow a few weeks ago.

Club coach Sammi Emsley said it was amazing to have a piece of apparatus that the world’s best gymnasts have performed on, including the world champions.

She said: “The club has worked extremely hard to raise funds to help with the purchase and we would like to say a big thank you to the Sleaford Round Table and also the Sleaford REP Communities Fund, who helped hugely with much needed funds.”

The club still has a few hundred pounds to raise before Christmas to go towards a piece of apparatus to use with the new bars. If you are able to help in any way at all, contact Helen or Sammi on 01529 300405 or 07507 116210.
