Members of Sleaford Gymnastics Club have scooped a series of medals.

Hannah Rushen claimed a silver and a bronze in the 10 years category of the Regional Level Four Championships, held in Leicester.

This was her first appearance at this competition but she was among the stand-out performers from the 50 competitors.

She claimed silver in the vault, bronze in the beam and also finished fourth overall.

In the County Team Championships, the quintet of Lucy Wilkinson, Erin Harbron, Rachel Harte, Yasmin Farrant and Emma Randall narrowly missed out on first place, having to settle for silver.

While competing, Erin scored an almost perfect score on the vault, staggering the judges by only losing 0.47 from her score.

This is the least that any gymnast at the club has ever had deducted from a vault.

Erin finished off in gold position on the vault from a field of more than 60 competing gymnasts.

Rachel finished off in gold on the bars and fifth on floor.

Yasmin finished third on the floor and Lucy was fourth on beam.

The Sleaford team of Sophie Halsall, Sophie McAndrew, Ella McCarthy, Mia Monteith and Molli Wilson finished seventh from the 14 teams from across Lincolnshire.
