Gymnastics girls have scored an impressive medal tally of more than 50 at a European contest against more than 200 competitors.
Youngsters from Sleaford Gymnastics Club took part in the European Invitational recently – in a competition lasting more than 12 hours.
A spokesman for the club said: “It was an amazing day organised by Alan Armitage from Arabian Gymnastics Club in Milton Keynes.
“The children love these kinds of friendly events , especially those who have not competed before as this is an extreme confidence booster.”
The Sleaford competitors were: Jessica Pepper, Freya Crutchley, Beth Lenton, Ranya Tran, Sophie Massingham, Ava Newall, Louise Hirst, Keira Menzies, Alice Bird, Ella Mccarthy, Elena Rowlett, Lucy Mcdowall, Rachel Harte, Rebecca Hebden, Sophie Mcandrew, Isabelle Garratt, Charlotte Farror, Mia Montieth, Safron Brankin, Josie Taylor, Yasmin Farrant, Clara Dunbavin, Holly Menzies, Chloe Almond, Kiesha Almond, Jasmin Brankin, Phoebe Towers, Katherine Williamson and Teija Mcclarnon.
The club also competed in the County Level 6 Championships, aiming to score places against about 100 other girls.
Lucy McDowall, 11, won bronze on the bars and silver on the floor, while Sophie McAndrew, six, won bronze on both the bars and the floor.
Rachel Harte, Keira Menzies and Lucy Mcdowall all gained the pass mark to move to Level 5 next year with all the others just missing out.
