The GCSE student shared the title last year, but managed to take it outright this time with an impressive round of 72.

The day got even better for the Sleaford secondary school who won the team event, with Jake’s win complemented by a strong third-place finish from five-handicapper Alexander Wright who carded a score of 75, and sixth place from Will Hopkins (gross 77).

The Carre’s trio of Will, Jake and Alex will now represent Lincolnshire Schools at the North of England Championships later this month.
