New bests are making a mark

Sleaford Town Runners

DURING the second half of March, members of the Sleaford Town Runners have been making their mark, with several recording personal best times.

Gary Britnell (2hrs 51secs) and Al Whitaker (4.05) completed the East Hull 20, while Cathy Taylor (3.16), Michelle Mason (3.49) and Mandy Connor (3.49) took part in the Ashby 20.

Several Town Runners were in the field for the Fleet Half Marathon. Matt Blunden was the first of the Sleaford contingent to finish in 1.12. Just three minutes behind him was John Siddens (1.15) and then Greg Southern (1.16).

Other times were: John Lawlor (1.21) and Andy Taylor (1.21).

An even bigger contingent from Sleaford Town Runners competed closer to home in he Lincoln Active Nation 10k.

Michael Baxter produced a personal best time of 38.51 to be the first Town Runner home.

Other times: Paul Green (44.43), Stephen Brear (45.53), Ian Swinscoe (49.09), Debs Sutton (55.42 PB), Lou Henderson (57.28 PB), Sarah Whatton (57.36), Stanley Thornton (1.03), Lisa Harmon (1.10) and Helen Barker (1.18).
