Volunteers turned out in force for Sleaford Rugby Club’s big tidy-up event at the weekend.

The two-day sprucing up of the club’s facilities was part of the NatWest Rugby Force Weekend which last year saw the club collect the best grassroots club in England title.

Meanwhile, on the pitch, due to the interest shown in the recent Tuilagi Rugby Skills sessions, several more dates have been secured from Freddie.

The dates are June 30, July 7 and July 14 and the sessions run from 5.30pm to 7pm. Cost is £15 per player.

The sessions are aimed at players U10 to U15 and there will be a limit of 24 players per session, on a first come first served basis. Book early to avoid disappointment.

This is a fantastic opportunity to train with a current Samoa coach and ex-Leicester Tigers player.

Summer touch rugby continues every Wednesday evening between 7pm and 8.30pm.

The sessions are suitable for men, women, boys and girls from aged 10 upwards. No previous experience is required and any level of fitness welcome.

Touch rugby is an exciting, minimal contact sport played with mixed teams and rolling substitutions. All training will be given in this weekly social event.

Cost is £1 per player per session. For more information Tim at schofit74@gmail.com
