The February ladies’ stableford at South Kyme Golf Club was won by Anne Clayton with a respectable 31 points in the face of very difficult weather conditions.

Just behind her in second place was Pat Mundy, with Heather Dopierala finishing in third place.

The EWGA Sunday Medal at South Kyme was also played in appalling conditions. It was won by a new name on the leaderboard, Helen Kirschner, who edged out Jane Barlow on a count back. In third place was Jane Coleman.

The sun did, however, shine for the EWGA Tuesday Medal, but, on the down side, the competitors had to contend with gale force winds.

This event was won by lady captain Sue Annibal, beating Sue Duncan on a count back, with Heather Dopierala recording another third place finish.

Helen won the Order of Merit for the month.

The weather continued to be a trial for the club’s mixed section return match against North Shore. The game was played at South Kyme in wet, windy and very cold conditions.

Despite the conditions, the match was enjoyed by all the players, with South Kyme winning the match 6–2.
