The game was all about tries and a chance of redemption after a convincing loss against Melton Mowbray last week.

With more of the squad getting back to full fitness after many injuries the team were very convincing against an average Nottingham Moderns team who are languishing at the bottom of the league.

Running in seven tries and seven conversions Sleaford won the game at a canter only conceding a try in either half.

First team captain, Shaun Fisher said: “A much improved performance this week, where we dominated the scrum and handling errors were kept to a minimum. We will have to keep playing to this high standard if we want to keep our promotion aspirations going.”
