Sleaford Tennis Club men crush Grantham

Sleaford Tennis Club enjoyed a successful week, starting with the men's team who had a midweek fixture at Grantham in the Lincoln District League.

The team of Rob Wright, Peter Elphick, Tom McDonnell, Dave Wilson, Nick Mellor and Mark Potts came away with a convincing 8-1 win.

The Sleaford senior ladies’ team were also comfortable winners against Saxilby in the Lincolnshire Ladies’ Senior League.

The under 14s were also busy, playing away to Stamford.

Roman Williams, Oscar Simmons, Matthew Mantle and Adam Biggins all did well with some close scores.

Two singles matches went against the team in nail-biting tie-breaks, while there was a winning singles from Matthew and some great doubles matches.
