Despite the wind and rain, plenty of Tri3 Sleaford athletes were competing at the weekend.

The club was represented at the Midlands Cross Country series with junior members William, Tom and Cameron having great runs – and Jack (pictured) finishing first in the under-11 boys’ category.

Not to be outdone, club seniors Sandy Telfer and Chris Smith-Wood represented the club in the men’s race.

The club was represented in sunnier climes by Gav Meadows at the Valencia Marathon; he posted an excellent time of 3hr 14min 36sec – not a personal best on this occasion but a fantastic result and part of Gav’s ‘Marathon-a-Month’ challenge for 2016.

Many of the club were out on Sunday morning dressed in Santa suits for the third annual Sleaford Santa Run, organised by Titch at Total Sports and Supplements.

The club’s Andrew Stevens (pictured) was first male home.
