South Kyme ladies get in the swing

What a topsy turvy couple of months it has been for the ladies of South Kyme Golf Club.

The weather has been quite good for the time of the year.

A friendly game was played at Boston West, and South Kyme Ladies won 2-1.

The September Stableford was won by Heather Dopierala with 30 points.

In second was Sue Roberts and third was Sue Annibal.

The Mixed Foursomes Vase Trophy was won by Myra and David LeSage.

The winner of the NQ Stableford was Sue Roberts with 32 points.

The Sunday EWGA October monthly medal was won by Sue Roberts with a nett 75, ahead of second-place Sue Annibal and Myra LeSage in third.

The winner of the Tuesday Medal with nett 71 was Sue Roberts.

Sue Annibal was second and Sue Duncan third.

A new name was on the leaderboard for the October Stableford as Elaine Sturton had her handicap cut following a victory with 37 points.

After a couple of postponements, the annual Texas Scramble, played with the seniors, was eventually played, but in atrocious weather.

The winners were lady vice-captain Sue Duncan, Shirley Westlake and Pete Zammitt.

Played in good weather conditions for the time of the year, the annual Halloween Open went ahead last Saturday.

The Best Pumpkin was won by Sue and Paul Roberts, the best fancy dress award went to Joan Cowie and the quiz winners were Shirley and Len Westlake and Lorna and Graeme Campbell.

The stableford winners were Jane and Martin Coleman and in second place were Shirley and Len Westlake.

In third were Sue and Ray Duncan.

It was a beautiful day when the mixed team visited Gedney Hill for a friendly match, which the hosts won.

The final friendly mixed match of the year was played against Cleethorpes at South Kyme, ending halved at 2-2.
