At the first rugby festival of the season Sleaford Rugby Club Under 12s were presented with a new gazebo.
The squad is pictured receiving the gazebo from sponsors Odlings Butchers of Navenby at the Kesteven Festival.
The under 12s opened the festival with a tough game against a good Nottingham BC side. After a tight start, Sleaford began to dominate in the rucks and Sam Clegg ran for the opening score. It remained 5-0 until half time.
In the second half, Nottingham had a try disallowed before they levelled the scores, with the game ending all square at 5-5.
Against Market Rasen, Sleaford were caught napping as Rasen raced to an early 5-0 lead before Samuel Roberts made a powerful run to draw the game level 5-5.
After the break, Sleaford dominated, with Roberts adding a second and Lewis Chessum a third as the team won the game 15-5.
A close encounter against hosts Kesteven ended in a 5-0 defeat for Sleaford, who then drew 5-5 with Lincoln, Sam Clegg going over for the Sleaford score.
In the final game against Newark, who had looked very good in their previous matches, Sleaford scored early on through Samuel Roberts. Newark then equalised after starting strongly in the second half before tries from Clegg and Roberts secured a 15-5 victory for Sleaford to conclude a good festival for the side.
