BOWLS: Eslaforde Park triumph at home

In the early matches of the Sleaford and District Bowls League, Eslaforde Park were home to Billinghay, the hosts winning on three rinks 90-58 to take 10 points to two.

At Cranwell, visitors Billinghay won on three rinks to take the aggregate 78-64 and 10 points to the hosts’ two.

Last year’s champions Helpringham started their season away at Digby, winning on three rinks with the aggregate 89-74. S Priestley’s rink won 25-12 to score the home side two points.

Sleaford town were home to Cranwell and took all 12 points, winning on all rinks 121-39.

Eslaforde Park won on all four rinks away at Legionnaires Club, 110-45, M. Callcraft and Yvonne Pauls rinks 29-7and 28-8 respectfully, the visitors taking all 12 points.

Billinghay at home to Digby won on two rinks and drew on one, to finish up drawing the game 76 each, the home side taking seven points to five.

Helpringham at home to Cranwell won on three rinks, taking the aggregate 88-56 and 10 points to two. For the visitors, the rink of Ken Allen trio won 25-14.

Sleaford Bristol at home against Eslaforde Park won on all four rinks to take the aggregate 77-57 and a maximum 12 points.

In the Sleaford League’s Digby Cup, the Legionnaires were at home to Cranwell, losing 63-68. The home team won the singles and doubles 26-10 and 21-8, but lost in the trebles and fours to J. Allen and Dave Fisher’s rinks, 8-22 and 8-28
