Gymnasts are striking gold

Members of Sleaford Gymnastics Club competed at the TJ's Invitational event in Boston.

At Lollipop Level, Olivia Thorpe (7-8 years) won the trampette and range and conditioning events and came second on the vault beam and floor.

Amy Patchett (11 years) was first on the floor and in range and conditioning, coming second in trampette and third on the beam.

Three firsts places in the vault, beam and range and conditioning were recorded by Esme Knapton-Carter (12 years), and she also recorded second on the floor and trampette.

Abbie Jones (nine years) recorded four seconds.

At Daisy Level, Gabby Greig (nine years) was first in both vault and trampette, while Isabelle Harvey came second in trampette and third in the vault and beam events.

Echo Keating (13 years) won all five of her events.

At Ice Cream Level, Molli Watson (10-11 years) was second on floor and third on vault.

Sophie McAndrew won gold on the floor and claimed three thirds, while Rebecca Fletcher was first on the beam and second in her four other disciplines.

Kennedy Shelley won vault and was second on the beam.

Lucy Wilkinson (12-13 years) won vault and range and conditioning, adding second in beam and third in trampette.

Emma Randall claimed three thirds and Hannah Pointon came second in the vault.

At Sandcastle Level, the highest on the day, Erin Harbron (11 years) claimed golds in the vault and floor, plus three second places, also gaining two judges’ awards for beam and tumble routines.

Hannah Rushen won the beam, trampette and range and conditioning sections, coming second in vault and floor, adding a judges’ trophy for best conditioning and being overall Sandcastle winner.
