Ryan Oliver and George Asplin grabbed the all-important goals in Norfolk.

Leading scorer Oliver handed the Greens the advantage three minutes into the second period as he broke the deadlock.

Asplin then gave his side some breathing space with 13 minutes remaining as he added his name to the scoresheet.

Victory has seen Paul Ward’s side drawn to face UCL Division One side Raunds Town in the first round proper on Saturday, October 31.

The Shopmates currently sit a division below Sleaford, where they haven’t had the best of starts to the campaign.

They sit in 14th place in the table with three victories, two draws and four defeats so far.

Sleaford, however, will turn their attention back to UCL Premier action as a busy schedule awaits before they return to the FA Vase.

On Saturday the Greens will travel to face Oadby Town at Freeway Park (KO 3pm), before Tuesday’s clash at Wisbech Town’s Fenland Stadium (KO 7.45pm).

Sleaford are currently fifth in the standings, with Oadby 19th and Wisbech ninth.

Town’s Reserves earned a 5-0 victory over Lincoln Railway in the Lincolnshire League Challenge Cup on Saturday.

Jac Wright hit a hat-trick for the table toppers.

Sebastian Firman and Daniel McNamara also netted to book a place in the quarter-finals.
