Fulbeck Olympic swimmer Sophie Allen has come back with an impressive medal haul after competing all over the world in the recent FINA Swimming World Cup.
During the first leg, which took place in Stockholm, Sophie won the silver medal in the 200m Medley, before jetting off to Moscow where she won the bronze in the 200m Medley and the silver in the 100m Medley.
Next it was on to Berlin, where Sophie won the gold medal in the 200m Medley, setting an English record and she also clocked the fastest time in the world in that event.
She then flew to Tokyo, where she won an impressive three medals, taking home the silver in the 100m Butterfly, silver in the 200m medley and gold in the 100m medley, again clocking the fastest time in the world so far this year. Unfortunately she didn’t win any medals in the Singapore leg.
She said: “I was disappointed with my performances, however the whole experience was amazing to be able to go to so many different countries and experience so many different climates and pools.”
Next Sophie will be heading to Istanbul to compete in the World Short Course Swimming Championships in December.
