Jack to LEAP into 2013 after cash backing

An up and coming cyclist from Sleaford is the latest of a long line of top athletes to be given backing from the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership.

Nineteen-year-old Jack King has been selected for the Lincolnshire Elite Athlete Programme (LEAP) for 2013, and will receive a grant of between £100 and £1,000 to support his development in his sport over the next 12 months.

He will also be invited to attend a number of training courses and events throughout 2013.

Rachel Belcher, LEAP Project Officer at Lincolnshire Sports Partnership, said: “In 2013, we have pledged to support 50 talented athletes from across Lincolnshire.

“We will support them on their journey to be the best they can be.

“This will include financial incentives, training courses and more, to support them in reaching their sporting dream.”
