Acorn Judo Club got the competition year off to a great start when eight junior members and a senior instructor visited Earl Shilton.

The members attended for the first competition of the year and came away with six gold, six silver and three bronze medals.

Danial Coupland entered the competition despite having a painful inflamed left hand and fought through his group, still managing to pick up the silver.
