ALONG with GP motorcycle legend Alan Carter, former British Supersport champion Steve Plater from Woodhall Spa was guest of honour at the two day Carol Nash Classic Bike Winter Show at the Newark Showground last week.

Steve was interviewed on stage each day by David Craggs and the audience was given an insight to Steve’s everyday working life with the Honda TT Legends team and also his racing career.

Following his interviews Steve was happy to meet his fans and supporters when he posed for photographs and signed autographs.

He was joined at the show by Alan Carter, who was signing copies of his book Light in the Darkness.

Steve commented: “The show was a resounding success, with lots of people checking out the bikes and attending the interviews each day. I really enjoyed meeting the fans and spent a lot of time chatting and posing for photographs.

“It was good to be able to attend the show, especially as it was in Newark, where my personal sponsor UK Waste Solutions is based.”

Steve is still unsure as to what 2012 holds for him. He was sidelined for the majority of 2011 following an accident at Thruxton which left him with considerable nerve damage in his left arm and hand.

The surgery he underwent has been successful and he is race fit and raring to go but has just one more small operation to endure at the end of the month before finalising his plans for the forthcoming season.
