Tae Kwon Do students from the Annabel Murcott School of Tae Kwon Do travelled down to Bristol recently to perform in front of five 8th Degree Masters from the Tae Kwon Do Association of Great Britain, in the hope of either gaining their black belts or improving their degree.

The students had to perform set self-defence routines, spar with up to three different opponents and perform power and accuracy tests alongside answering questions on Korean History.

All of the students were successful and, between them, they earned a 5th degree, two 4th degrees, a 3rd and a 2nd degree, with all the remaining students who performed on the day earning their black belts.

Instructor 6th degree Annabel Murcott said: “What a great ending to the year.

“The results we achieved at the Black Belt Grading were outstanding.”

The club has now set its sights on ending the year on a high, as they get set for the British Championships at the Sky Dome Arena in Coventry.
