Sleaford RFC Under 13s 52 Melton Under13s 0

SLEAFORD Rugby Club under 13s hosted Melton Mowbray for their last game of the season.

The Sleaford boys opened with a converted try under the posts from the kick off and they soon followed that with another under the posts from the restart.

Within seven minutes the hosts had opened up a 21-0 lead.

As a contest the match was over and the challenge for Sleaford was to maintain their playing discipline. This they successfully did and more points were quickly accumulated. Melton Mowbray had no answer to any aspect of Sleaford’s game. They were thoroughly outclassed.

Within the first minute of the second half Sleaford scored another converted try to take their lead to 52-0 to bring the game to an end – in his age group games are concluded once a 50 point leading margin is established.

Head coach Mike Jones said: “This was an excellent way to conclude a good season.

“This side has only been beaten by two teams all season. I am very proud of what has been achieved.”
