Under 13s dominate second half

Derby Under 13s 12 Sleaford RFC Under13s 55.

WHEN these two sides met six weeks previously Sleaford failed to convert many of their opportunities into tries in their 28-7 victory. This time they were keen to make amends.

Derby were equally confident they could offer much stiffer opposition, but this aspiration was quashed within the first minute, when Sleaford ran in an unconverted try.

Sleaford were playing well, dominating the breakdowns, spinning the ball wide and running straight. However, they still missed a number of chances.

They did add another try before half time but also allowed Derby in for a converted try of their own, to make the score 22-7 at the interval.

But Sleaford went on the completely dominate the second half, scoring a further five tries.
