Sleafordians shortlists for sports awards
TWO organisations and two sportsmen from the Sleaford area have been shortlisted for this year’s Lincolnshire Sports Awards.
The Arts NK Dance team has been shortlisted for the Contribution to Physical Activity Award, while the Sleaford Laffletics Club, which provides people with a disability the opportunity to play sports together, is up for the Sports Club of the Year award.
Peter Sumpton is one of the nominees for the Active 4 Health Award for his continuing attendance of a Vitality dance class, and Paralympic discus thrower Kieran Tscherniawsky, from Heckington, has been shortlisted for the Disabled Sportsperson of the Year.
This year’s awards ceremony is due to take place on November 8 at the Lincolnshire Showground.
