Ladies win in style after setbacks

SLEAFORD Tennis Club’s ladies’ team have had mixed fortunes in their latest three matches in the Lincolnshire Ladies League.

They lost away to Woodhall Spa 6-3 and to Louth Indoor Tennis Centre 8-1, but, entertaining St James Tennis Club from Grimsby, Sleaford came out on top, winning 7-2.

Players representing Sleaford in all three matches were Jeanette Turland and Ros Keane, Jenny Stone and Chris Loakes, Rebecca Stone and Sue Fotheringham.

Sleaford have now won three matches and lost two in their first season back in Division Two.
