Tennis is hit by weather
DUE to adverse weather conditions, three matches out of a possible five for the two men’s teams of Sleaford Tennis Club have had to be cancelled since the start of the season.
However, the Sleaford A team, playing in the Lincolnshire League have managed to get some action and secured an emphatic 9-0 win against Bourne 3.
The Sleaford team for that game was Robert Wright/Jeff Mitchell, Kevin Hawkesworth/Alexandru Vianu and Sam Taylor/Simon Moss.
They followed it up with a comprehensive 7-2 win against Bourne 2, when the team was Lloyd Bailey/Jeff Mitchell, Kevin Hawkesworth/Rob Wright, Simon Moss/Sam Taylor.
These results have contributed to a good start to the season on the club’s new courts in spite of the weather.
