Sleaford Seconds, sponsored by Darren Wilson, enjoyed a comfortable victory against Woodhall Spa’s second string in the South Lincs and Border League Premier at home on Saturday.

Batting first after winning the toss, contributions from Ben Bulmer, Andy Hibberd and David Harrop saw Sleaford post a competitive total of 189 which was to prove far too much for their visitors who were dismissed for 91 with Rhys Collings, Luke Hollingworth and Connor Harbron each claiming three wickets for the team.

Next Saturday sees Sleaford visit Stamford as they seek to push on from their mid table position.

On Sunday, Sleaford Academy, sponsored by Turnbulls, eased to a seven wicket victory against Cherry Willingham after dismissing their opponents for 87 with Matt Bean and Ben Hutson claiming three victims each and then Bean scoring an undefeated 25 in Sleaford’s reply.

This Sunday the team travel to Heighington.

On Sunday, in the Lincoln League Premier Division, Sleaford, sponsored by Specsavers, entertain Middle Rasen with a 2pm start.
